Private Well Man and Well Woman Health Checks
Private GP-led health screening for adults who want a proactive review of their general health, cardiovascular risk, symptoms and preventive care needs.
This is a structured two-part screening pathway: an initial assessment and investigation appointment, followed by a results review and personalised advice appointment once results are available.
Appointments may include a review of lifestyle, symptoms, family history, blood pressure, relevant examination, blood tests, ECG where appropriate and a personalised discussion about next steps.
How the Two-Part Screening Works
Part One: Initial Screening Appointment
GP-led consultation, medical history, family history, symptom review, lifestyle discussion, blood pressure, weight and cardiovascular risk review.
Investigations Agreed
Blood tests and other investigations are discussed and tailored to your needs. Costs are confirmed before testing.
Part Two: Results Review
A follow-up appointment to explain results, discuss risk, answer questions and agree a practical health plan.
Health Screening Price

Not Sure What You Need?
If you have one focused concern or are unsure whether screening is right for you, a normal GP appointment may be a better first step.
What can be covered?
Health screening is tailored to the individual rather than following a rigid package. The areas covered will depend on your age, symptoms, medical history, family history and personal health priorities.
Well Man Review
- General men’s health review
- Blood pressure, weight and lifestyle review
- Cardiovascular risk discussion
- Prostate and urinary symptoms discussed where relevant
Well Woman Review
- General women’s health review
- Menopause discussion where relevant
- Fatigue and wellbeing review
- Preventive health advice and follow-up planning
Tests and Follow-Up
- Tailored blood tests where appropriate
- Cholesterol and blood sugar review
- ECG where clinically appropriate
- Referrals or follow-up if needed
Please note: Private health screening is designed to support prevention, risk-factor review and early discussion of health concerns. It does not replace urgent medical care, NHS screening programmes or specialist assessment where these are clinically indicated. If you have a new, urgent or specific medical symptom, a standard GP appointment may be the better first step.
Health Screening FAQs
Do I need symptoms to book a health screening appointment?
No. Health screening can be suitable if you feel well but would like a proactive review of your general health, risk factors and preventive care needs. If you have a specific symptom or urgent concern, a standard GP appointment may be more appropriate.
Are blood tests included in the package fee?
The health screening package fee covers the GP-led screening appointment and a follow-up results review appointment. Blood tests, urine tests, stool tests, ECG or other investigations are charged separately where required. Any recommended tests and costs will be discussed before proceeding.
What happens at the follow-up appointment?
The follow-up appointment is used to review your results, explain what they mean, discuss any risk factors and agree practical next steps. This may include lifestyle advice, further tests, prescriptions, monitoring, referral or a plan for ongoing care where appropriate.
Can I discuss menopause, fatigue or urinary symptoms?
Yes. Health screening appointments can include discussion of broader wellbeing, fatigue, menopause-related concerns, urinary symptoms and other general health issues. If the concern is complex or requires a focused assessment, a separate GP appointment may be advised.
Should I book this or a normal GP appointment?
If you want a broader preventive health review, cardiovascular risk discussion and planned investigations with a results review, health screening may be suitable. If you have one specific symptom, a new medical problem or an urgent concern, a standard GP appointment is usually the better starting point.
